What is Egg Freezing?

As women age, the number and the quality of their eggs will decline, and their chances of conceiving naturally will become lower and lower. The pregnancy rates for women over 44 becoming minimal. Therefore, women at or before the age of 35 can preserve fertility by freezing the eggs when they are young and the eggs are in high-quality condition, and then storing the young eggs and carrying out IVF when needed.

Because the eggs are kept in a youthful state through egg freezing, even if the woman is over 44 years old when she undergoes the IVF treatment, the pregnancy rate will be much higher.

Who should consider Egg Freezing?
  • Young Women aged 28 – 35 years old who have are not yet considering childbirth
  • Patients who need surgical or other treatments for a medical disease that will destroy the ovaries;
  • Women with no uterus or damaged uterine function;
  • Women with a family history of premature ovarian failure, and women with autoimmune diseases;
  • When the husband is azoospermia, or on the day the wife retrieves the egg and the husband could not successfully obtain the sperm, then the wife can temporarily freeze the egg while waiting for the donor sperm.
